The AI sees your trees: it finds people by name and reads their facts, family, sources and places.
MCP · open protocol
Rodoteka has its own MCP server. Connect Claude or any other MCP-capable AI agent and keep your tree by talking: tell it what you found in the archive, and the scribe writes it into the tree.
Parish register of Pidhaitsi, 1887: on 12 March Ivan was baptised, son of Petro and Maria. Add him to the tree.
Added Ivan (b. 1887) as the son of Petro and Maria, created the source “Parish register, 1887” and attached the page scan.
The AI sees your trees: it finds people by name and reads their facts, family, sources and places.
It creates people, updates dates, places and occupations, adds parents, spouses and children, and tidies up families.
It adds sources — parish registers, censuses, letters — and attaches page scans to them.
It uploads photos and scans from a link or directly, and large files through a separate request.
The Model Context Protocol is an open standard that lets AI assistants connect to services. Rodoteka has its own MCP server, so the AI works with your tree directly, with no copying.
No. There are instructions for Claude (claude.ai, Cowork, Claude Code), but any AI agent that supports MCP over HTTP can connect.
Access comes from a personal token. It is shown only once, and you can revoke it in settings at any time — connected clients lose access immediately.
Yes, the tools include deleting people, families and media, so give the scribe clear tasks and revoke the token when you no longer need it.
Written in the year 2026, so the family memory never fades.
